Walnut Table

This was another old commission project I did, so the photos are not very good, don’t judge :) This table was a very big learning experience for me, that I hope everyone reading this can learn from my mistakes. If you’re going to make something for someone as a commission - make sure they PAY YOU! The client on this one paid for the wood, but not my time to make or deliver the table. They believed that getting to keep the Walnut offcuts and a beer would be sufficient compensation for a couple weeks worth of work. Lessons were learned here and this is why formal agreements are made in writing and deposits are required at a minimum on project builds.

With that out of the way, this table was a pretty epic build. The legs are 4”x4”, it’s about 18” wide and around 52” long (if I remember correctly) and stands at 16” to the table top - it’s massive!

Made from Black Walnut and finished with water based varnish
