The Rune Axe

This is an old project, but a great one! This axe started its life as a fire axe on a school bus and turned into one of my most favorite builds. I cleaned up and re-ground the axe head, replaced the handle with an Alder wood handle I made. I then stamped Runes in a spiral that say ‘A cleaved head no longer plots’. Once it was wrapped in leather and sharpened it’s one of the best axes to hold and chop with!
