Walnut Growth Chart

This was a project I did at the bequest of my sister. One day she asked if I could make a simple growth chart so they could keep track of how big the little ones were getting. Now, she thought I’d just cut up a 2x4 or maybe some pine from Home Depot, scratch some foot markers into it and call it a day. Out of all the people in this world, I’d think she should know who I am by now! Haha
So after a trip to the wood store and a very nice piece of live edge black walnut now in the shop I set to work on making a proper growth chart!

Black Walnut slab - Markings routered and hand carved then filled with epoxy. Finished with water based varnish
