Bowtie Box

This little treasure box was my first experience at doing a hand cut dovetail, and it was such an experience that I decided to do it twice in the same spot! Now you might be asking yourself…what? This doesn’t make any sense…and you’d be right. So let me explain.
I first made a Purple Heart bowtie and inset it into the lid of the box. Then I wasn’t too happy with the mix of colors, so I cut out most of the Purple Heart and inset the Black Walnut bowtie pieces! Yeah - it was a very weird way of doing things and I have no regrets….none…I swear!
