Ragnar Lothbrook - Raven Vest

So this project actually started out as a commission request…long story short it fell through but I decided that I wanted to make Ragnar’s Vest anyways and I’m so happy I did! This is one of, if not the most comfortable cosplay/armor that I’ve made or worn! The vest feels great and moves with you!
I also made leather pants from a few Lamb hides and because I had to use multiple hides they didn’t turn out exactly screen accurate for Ragnar’s pants, but I don’t care. They’re extremely comfortable as well and I even added a small pocket on the inside for a phone!
The bracers were made very quickly and I’m not quite 100% happy with how they turned out. I might revisit them in the future and make them a little bit better. But when you’re trying to finish everything 2 days before the Expo, you just need to get the work done.

Everything on the vest, pants and bracers are hand made. I spun all the wire for the links and wove each one by hand into the calf lace. It took hours….and hours to do all the weaving, but the end look was totally worth it. I also tooled the raven and attached it to the vest with a couple hidden fasteners so it’s secure, but you can’t tell how when you’re looking at it.
